nano.RIPE - Kagefumi

                                                     Hanasaku Iroha Movie ED

Tracklist:

1. Kagefumi (Following the Sign)
2. Kaerimichi (Return Trip)
3. Yumeji -Acoustic- (Dreaming)

1. Kagefumi

That voice... it's perfect for prison torture >__> Even though it gets better through the rest of the track, it's way too nasal. The composition, although a bit dragging and making the song feel longer, saves the song with a pop-rock arrangement. Not that bad for an ED!
Rating: 7.5

2. Kaerimichi

We begin with a very quiet and mysterious start, but the acoustic guitars join in and make it a typical J-pop ballad. It's very plain and dull, so it is probably just a filler song to a relatively good A-side.
Rating: 4

3. Yumeji -Acoustic-

Now, the acoustic arrangement returns, but this time faster and more upbeat. I haven't heard the non-acoustic version of Yumeji, but this is much more engaging than the previous song, so naturally I enjoyed it more.
Rating: 7

An average group puts out an average single. It's nothing new or special, but fans of nano.RIPE will appreciate this. My overall rating is: 6.2

The comment box doesn't bite ; be polite when feeding it, though.
